Even at their age...

So Bradlee and Kaylee wanted to have a sleepover with eachother one weekend, and I went in to check on them and make sure they were going to bed and this is what  I found. They had made forts with blankets... Silly Kids!

Being in Young Women's, I have a love for all the youth in our ward, but this New Beginnings was even more special as Kaylee was one of our girls that will be entering the Young Women program this year. I am so excited to have her and Meghn in Young Women's with me.

Sisters

Lydia was sick and in the Hospital, so we sisters got together to go visit her....Needless to say we are very entertaining with a camera.

We had a Young Women's activity where we were trying to find modest clothing at the DI. Meghan and Megan found some awesome ideas. LOL!

15 years and going!!!!

Math Matters!

Kaylee wanted to participate in the math matters competition, which is an outside of school event. There are about 300 5th and 6th graders that participate in taking a test and there are 10 winners. I was very proud of her for trying, as I said this is an outside of school event on a saturday morning, and there is no credit given from the school. She was very excited and felt good about her test. When all was said and done she placed 221. Now before you feel bad for that number let me tell you about the 1st place winner, she scored 85% and was 1st place (Does that explain the difficulty of the test?) What matters the most is that Kaylee enjoyed herself, and learned a little bit about competition. I rewarded her with Noodles and compant for lunch after, and Bradlee tagged along for the event, so he also was rewarded with lunch.

6th Grade Science Fair

Bradlee and Kaylee have been working hard the last couple of weeks on their projects. Bradlee decided to do one about sport. "If you practice sports on the Wii would it imporve your actual game?" It turns out on Miniature golf it did not improve your game. Kaylee being left handed wanted to know more about it. "Lefties are in their right mind." Hers was taking a survey to see how many kids were left handed. She surveyed some of the kids in her school, and she did a great job with her information.

Christmas Breakfast

We had a great time at our Christmas breakfast with the Gurr side. I was given an awesome purse from Disneyland by Judy, and Jeff got more than just nerds, He got a buckle gift card from Mike. Meghan got Aeropostale gift certificates from Adam, while Bradlee got disney bucks from Jessica, and Kaylee got a Simba from Hayden. Everyone was happy with their gifts.

The Paulsen Christmas party is always a little chaotic, as we have so many people, and my house just isn't big enough. We exchanged gifts, and had tons of fun. Bryce and Shannon had us, and they spoiled us with personalized ice cream cups. Mine had Minnie Mouse, Jeff's had tennis shoes, Meghan;s had socks, Bradlee's had  a guitar, and Kaylee's had a monkey. We also got an ice cream container that said Clark Characters on it. Such a wonderful gift. We had Bryce and Shannon's name. I made sock monkey's out of Bryce's socks, and Jeff made Bryce a colostomy bag cover.
