It has been very hectic in my life lately. The company I work for has been going through some changes, and I know have a new job title, and I have become more busy at work. I haven't had any additional time for much else. I don't have new pictures to post, but I have one that I wanted to post. I have the best Aunts a girl could ask for. They are the most wonderful women ever. We went to Disneyland in October and in memory of our fabulous trip Judy gave me this ornament for Christmas, and I love it. That trip was so much fun, and it came at such a great time. We had Grandpa's funeral just a week before we left, and I think that it was a blessing to have that trip planned when we did. I have thought alot about grandpa lately, and how much I miss him. Anyway, I hope work calms down some over the next little while, and I can get back to normal.

Some of Christmas
We had a good Christmas, it came and went pretty fast, but all in all it was good. I think the kids got what they wanted for the most part. Here are some of the pictures, I will get more posted soon. One of Bradlee's presents.

Santa Party
Christmas is a little different this year. Grandpa is gone, and I noticed the void at the Christmas party this year. I miss him so much..... But Christmas is coming anyway..... Santa and Mrs. Claus came to ask the kids what they wanted for Christmas.

Kaylee asked for a Nintendo DSi.
Bradlee asked for another Light Saber because 3 isn't enough apparently.
Meghan is such a weird child. She asked for a pair a sneakers because the bottom of her closet isn't full enough.
I asked for my kids to be happy.... And for Jeff not to get his present... (You'll See why)
Jeff asked for a very long ski season.... Duh!!!!! Snow is Yucky.
Merry Christmas!!!

Choo Choo!!!
With the help of Jessica and Judy, Kaylee and Meghan made this gingerbread train. Meghan didn't care so much, but it was Kaylee's pride and joy, she wouldn't let anyone touch it.

YW in Excellence
Meghan had her First Young Womens in Excellence program a few weeks ago. She was wonderful. She wrote a short talk about Faith, and how it is important in her life. It was a beautiful talk.
I am so proud of her for the Young Woman she is becoming. I love you Meghan!

Is that Mickey Mouse?
We had a halloween party at Kimber's house yesterday. The adults didn't dress up this time, but the kids did. Jessica brought goey eyeballs that we threw at eachother.... Yes the adults were throwing them.
Kimber was trying to catch an eyeball........ with her mouth.

Snooty and the Beast
We took the kids to The Desert Star Theater last saturday for Bradlee's birthday. The kids had never been before. It was a blast. We got drinks, cheesy bread and Bradlee got a root beer float. After the play was over they acknowledged Bradlee's birthday, and sang happy birthday. They also did a Monster mash olie that was hilarious. I think we will have to go back again for sure.

Disneyland at Halloween time!
Halloween was such a good time to go to Disneyland. The decorations were awesome, the weather was fabulous, and of course the company was amazing. They changed some of the rides around to become more halloween, like Space Mountain became Ghost Galaxy.
Haylee and I trying to pick some Candy Corn Carrots.
Riley and Jessica in front of the Giant Candy Corn.
At the front gates they had these pumpkins shaped like the different characters. Again, so cool!
The firework show was changed into a Halloween show. The different villians came out for the show. Here is Jack Skellington.
This was when the Heffalumps came out for the fireworks.
Scary pumpkins.
They also had Ursula, Cruela Deville, and pirates come out for the the show. It was very cool.Posted by Shelly at 10:47 AM 0 comments

Weekend Getaway!
So some of the girls in my family decided we needed a girls weekend away in Disneyland. Now I am not one to turn down Disneyland. Judy, Penny, Haylee, Kimber and her kids, and Jessica and Riley hoped on a plane last Thursday and went to Disneyland. There are alot of pictures, and some are just to good to not share, so it will probably take a few posts to make it through the whole trip. We sure did have a blast.

The Memories will last a Lifetime.
I'm not sure how old I was, but when I was young Grandpa and I went on a motorcycle ride at the cabin. I really dont remember much of how it happened, but I remember chrashing, and we went down the wash. Grandpa hit his head on a rock or something, He only cared that I was ok. A few scrapes and bruises, but we were both ok. He was so loving though, and he didn't care that he was hurt, as long as I was ok.
Grandma and Grandpa took me to California to visit my mom, and I remember the trip being so much fun, and I remember Grandma and I listening to Juice Newton the whole drive home. I felt so special. They were really good at making me feel special, Taking me to the cabin when my parents weren't going. There are alot of cabin memories, but other memories too. Like Grandma taking me shopping for my birthday every year.
And of course the spaghetti. Grandma had the best spaghetti in the world. I could go on and on about her spaghetti. Grandpa took over the spaghetti making when grandma died. He would make me spaghetti and bring it to me every year on my birthday. I think yesterday was the first time I didn't have spaghetti coming for my birthday.
I dont know how we lucked out to have grandparents like Grandpa and Grandma Gurr, but I am a better person for having them in my life, They were always there for us, and they are missed everyday.
I couldn't have said it better myself when Bradlee said " Grandpa will be missed by alot of people, I know he loved me, and I will miss him so much."

Cowboy Guy!
Sunday best, 'cause he was a cowboy guy.
He had cabin fever all year long.
While he watched from the porch with a smile, 'cause he was a cowboy guy.
He made sure life in Fruitland was never boring.
Then home to watch bull riding, 'cause he was a cowboy guy.
Though I don't think he ever referenced a book.
He didn't, 'cause he was a cowboy guy.
How to work hard and how to swear.
How to shoot without aiming and kill the "blankety-blank" rodent dead.
And how sometimes you got what you wanted 'cause of your rugged good looks.
And that's what he did, my grandpa, my cowboy guy.
