Bradlee's Adventure

Bradlee has gone on his first scout camp. It wasn't an overnighter, but he went at 8am on Friday and came home about 3:30pm and then went again on Saturday at 8am and came home about 3:30pm. He had such a good time. He said they did a lot of fun activities up there. He woke up so early on Friday because he was so excited to go, and he came home so happy. I was so glad he had such a good time. They had a little store there that he could buy stuff from. He bought an Indiana Jones Whip for himself, and then since he is such a nice brother he had to buy his sisters some stuff to. He bought Meghan some rocks that has gold in them, and he bought Kaylee a cute little stuffed animal. He was cute. He was so excited to come home and show the girls their treasures.
He makes for a cute Boy Scout doesn't he???? :)

The things we do for our Kids!

So Our kids are spoiled..... If you didn't already know that, you know it now. We decided instead of paying money to go swimming, or rollerblading, or to the movies, we would just have some fun in our own backyard... You know save money on gas too..... We will see if our plan works. Here is Jeff setting up the new toy. Kaylee going down the waterslide.

We Love Swimming!!!

The kids and I went to the Oquirrh Park pool on Saturday.Swimming is one of the kids favorite summer activities.
They love standing under the big bucket that tips over on them.

Bradlee and Meghan love going off the diving boards. They spend most of their time at the diving boards.

The Perfect camping spot!

Last night Jeff and the kids decided to go camping. They found the perfect spot to pitch their tents. It was a grassy area, with bathrooms close by. There was even some fun activities close by. They were able to jump around and play before bed, and when night fell they even had television there so they could watch a great movie. The kids were so excited about their camp out with dad. See all the grass and the fun trampoline for them to play on.
This is when they started their movie.
Yes it is our backyard. it was perfect. I was able to sleep in my bed, and the kids got to be in the tent. Unfortanantly Jeff's allergies started acting up and the campout was over, but they had fun while it lasted.

Poor Meghan

So Meghan has had some bad luck this week. The other day at school she fell off a swing and bruised her arm and legs. These pictures are 2 days after the incident. Here are the bruises and scrapes on her legs. They are doing much better now, and she says the pain is gone.
That isn't all. She has had some stomach problems for the last 2 weeks. So last week we went to the doctors and they think she might have to much acid in her stomach, so they gave her some Prevacid. And she has been on that for a week now and doesn't seem to help. Yesterday she woke up with a sore throat so we went back to the doctors and it turns out she has Strep Throat, and the Urine tests came back abnormal so they are culturing that to see what is going on. Just in time, school is out so she doesn't have to miss school. Like I said in the title of this post..... Poor Meghan. She is miserable today, but she is on antibiotics, so by tomorrow she should start feeling better.

Last Day of School!

The kids had their last day of school yesterday. Meghan on the last day of 4th Grade. She was an excellent student, and was once again on the Honor Roll. She also received a Golden Student Award.
Kaylee on the last day of 2nd Grade. She has improved alot this year, and can now read 90 words per minute. Good Job K-bear!
Bradlee on the last day of 2nd grade. He made alot of friends and became really good at drawing and Math. Awesome Dude!

What an Amazing Husband I have!

So as you have seen we have been painting. We did the kitchen this last weekend, and the hall was going to be done this next weekend. Well I came home from work last night and Jeff had done it all by himself. I didn't even tell him to. He is so wonderful. The first two pictures are the befores.

It looks so nice. I am so happy with it. Now we have to do the Ceiling, and that is going to be the hard part.

Another project

So first we rearranged the Family room, and now it was the kitchens turn. We moved in 3 years ago and we finally painted this kitchen wall. We were dreading it because of the stove and the cabinets. We knew it would be a chore. This is the before picture. Just plain white. This is the after. I don't have a before for this wall.
This is Jeff doing all the work. I knew I married him for a reason. :) Haha He is wonderful.
