I love my grandpa more than anyone could ever know. When I was young I would say he was "My Grandpa" I didn't wanna share him with anyone, If one of the other kids would try and sit on his lap I would fight them and push them off. My grandma and grandpa drove me to California to visit my mom, and they would take me to the cabin with them. These are memories I will have forever. My Grandpa makes the best spaghetti you would ever taste, and he always thinks of me when he makes it. If he has leftovers sometimes he would save it for me. Mmmmm Spaghetti!!!!! He took me for a motorcycle ride at the cabin, and I remember crashing and rolling down the wash. We had a few cuts and bruises, but nothing major. My grandpa and Grandma always took care of me, and they are the best Grandparents a girl could ask for.
I am writing this because Monday my Grandpa was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia, and he has little time left. I have been thinking about some of the things I used to do with my Grandpa since then, and wanted to write them down so that someday my kids could read this and remember how much I love him. I was able to visit him tonight in the hospital, and his spirits are up. He had me laughing harder than I have laughed in awhile. Through the tears I am thinking of all the wonderful times I have had with my grandpa, and I am so glad I have him in my life.
He is doing some treatment to try and slow it down, so hopefully he responds well to the treatment and we have more time.
This is Grandpa driving the boat while we were fishing at the Cabin.
I love you Grandpa! You truely are the best Grandpa in the World!!!
